I started pointing the camera at my own life and quickly realized that I held more than just simply put, a photographer's camera. I am wielding a box that captures affection, love, joy, sadness, hate; messages, ideas, problems, current events; snippets of time, human nature, life before my very eyes.
A pencil to a visual journal translating the quiet moments in my life that I see and react to.
So here I am, a photographer, with life as my subject of interest. Whether it is mine or yours, I seek to find meaning in what is important, things that make me feel human, to note the beauty in the reality of our breathing selves with the tool I know best.
An extension of my hands, an expansion to my vision, my lifestyle, my soul, wrapped into a single phrase, "Travis and his camera."
